Parent Auxiliary Board (PAB)
The mission of the Parent Auxiliary is to guide and enhance the Southminster School families' experiences at the school through services and activities, which in turn enrich the experiences of the children. The goal of the Parent Auxiliary is provide unity and fellowship for the parents of Southminster School. Thoughout the school year the Parent Auxiliary hosts special events, fundraisers and an annual gala. Parent Auxiliary fundraising efforts have provided over 8000 volumes for the library, new computer equipment for the lab and classrooms, furnishings and equipment for the Science Discovery Center, the WeatherBug System, and three sets of playground equipment. The Auxiliary plays a vital role in the continued development and success of Southminster School. All parents of Southminster School are members of the Parent Auxiliary. The Parent Auxiliary Board (PAB) is made up of four officers and ten committee chairs. The Head of School sits on the Board as an ex-officio member. To learn more about the Parent Auxiliary you may review the PAB by-laws, explanation of PAB positions, and PAB minutes in the school office. Each spring a new slate of Officers and Committee Chairpersons are nominated and voted into office by the entire Parent Auxiliary.
