Southminster School is an accredited, private, Christian school serving children 18-months old through 5th grade.  The school was founded in 1991 by Southminster Presbyterian Church as an early childhood program.  Over the years, the quality of our school and its loving Christian environment prompted our school families to encourage Southminster Presbyterian Church to expand its program to include an elementary school.

Southminster School has assembled an experienced and dedicated team of highly-qualified educators who guide each student's growth and development in order to maximize the individual student's full potential.  The combination of academic excellence, spiritual development, community building experiences, and leadership opportunities are what make Southminster School so unique.

Once again, Southminster School is hard at work to ensure the quality of the current school and establish a growth plan to meet the vision for continued growth.  The vision plan included adding a second class of first grade students in the 2006-2007 school year which began the expansion of the elementary school to add a second class at each grade level through fifth grade.  The School Committee has heard numerous requests for the addition of a middle school and has added that vision to its long term plan.

The future expansion of the campus facilities is envisioned to include a cafeteria, a gymnasium, additional classroom space, the expansion of the church, and a larger gathering hall.  All of these plans for growth give your children and the families of Southminster an environment that enhances learning and develops the mind, spirit, and body.
